Paul David Hewson, also known as Bono; was born May 10th 1960. He's an Irish singer/songwriter, musician, activist and business man. He is best known as the vocalist for the rock band U2. Bono met all of his band members whilst in school. He writes lyrics containing religious, social and political themes. Bono is well known for his activism concerning Africa, he co-funded DATA, EDUN, and the ONE Campaign; along with Product Red. He has also played in many benefit concerts and has met with influential politicians. Bono was granted knighthood by Queen Elizabeth II in the UK and was also named Person of the Year by Time Magazine in 2005.

Hewson has also had cameos in various films, shows and documentaries from 1988 to 2012. He is on the board of Elevation Partners private-equity firm, whom attempted to purchase Eidos Interactive in 2005 and has since gone on to invest in other entertainment businesses. Bono has investments in Forbes Media, he was the first outsider to invest in the company; which then he took a minority stake in Forbes Media LLC, which includes Forbes magazine, Forbes.com, and other assets. His stake is valued at around 250 million USD. Bono also has a stake in Facebook.com, worth approx 1 billion USD.
